Literature Text

The world was a sea of black and white, the human race rushing in a streak of grey. It amazed Donatello how the world could seem so...dull. Who were these people? Were they satisfied with their lives? With the same routine day in and day out?

The mutant supposed how he viewed the world wasn't a huge surprise. It only took him and his brothers fifteen years to go to the surface. Don't get him wrong, the world was an interesting place, but it's as though the days repeat themselves day in and day out.

But in the midst of all that, something had caught his eye: a hint of orange. Donatello didn't know why April O'Neil had caught his attention...but she had. She was a speck of colour in a never ending sea of grey, and she opened up Donatello's eyes to the world around him.

He knew if he ever needed her, he could look and she won't be too far away, her orange hair standing out amongst the dulled blondes, brunettes and raven haired people of the world. She was his hope and his inspiration to continue to see all of the bright and good things the world had to offer, even if maybe it didn't seem all that special to him.

It was as though life and the world got a little bit brighter, where Donatello knew he could finally see the world not through auburn eyes but sparkling sapphire ones that he could recognize in a crowd no matter the size. April was now his world, the thing that would guide him through life and open his eyes in a way no one else could. And as long as he could chase that precious orange dot in a crowd of billions, he hoped he would never lose that her brilliant vibrance to a sea of grey.
Finally did more writing! I feel like I haven't done as much lately. :D I hope you guys like it! :)
