TMNT-3:28 A.MApril O’Neil didn’t have to open her eyes to know that it was 3:28 A.M. This had been going on for over a month or two now where she’d wake up from the same stupid dream at exactly 3:28 every night. She’d usually wake up with the sheets tangled with her limbs, a pillow would be on the floor and she’d be sweating, even though it was beginning to become winter and the air was rather chilly. It was the same dream every time. She’d see Donatello’s face in her mind and think about every moment he had looked at her with those intense red brown eyes and grinned at her with the gap in his teeth that made him that much more adorable. She’d dream about him saving her, all the times he was there for her when she needed not just him but SOMEONE to be there, and how he never let harm come her way.April turned over on her side, snuggling her cheek into the pillow. She was a tough chick. A New Yorker. She lived and breathed the tough life style where s
Teen Titans-Step, Clack, Scuffle, DragStep, clack, scuffle, drag. Those were the noises Jinx got most familiar with in her life. Step, clack, scuffle, drag...With each step she took, the sound went from disgusting to comforting to her. Before the Hive Five, and before she ever really learned first walk. It was always that particular sound to her.Step, clack, scuffle, drag as she ran through life blindly, going from one extreme to the next. And not far behind, life seemed to call to her, yet she had always ignored the sing song voice that she felt mocked her on her life's journey. Then again, Jinx never had been one to look back at past mistakes, thrills, and joys. It was all about the future. It didn't matter which road she took or how long it would take, she just needed to get somewhere. Anywhere.Step, clack, scuffle, drag.First it was pick pocketing in the streets as a starving young girl. Jinx recalled how her ribs peeked through her clothing and how frail she had been. The only food source was from stealing or mooc
TMNT-Pleasant SurprisesSplinter slowly blinked his eyes open, feeling groggy, a light headache pulse in the back of his head. It was another day that he had suffered from a small cold. It wasn't a huge deal, just some sniffles and coughs. But the medication his daughter-in-law, April, gave to him tended to make him very drowsy.Somewhere in the lair, he could hear the sound of someone walking around and soft murmurs from the kitchen. It wasn't unusual for his children, their wives and his grandchildren to visit. He didn't feel any threatening force, so he continued to leave his eyes closed. It was funny. Ever since his children had moved out of the lair, things were so...quiet. He had all the freedom he wanted to watch his favorite soaps, meditate in peace, and wander the sewers in a way he couldn't before in fear of his children misbehaving. The first to leave was his second to youngest son, Donatello. He and his wife, April, had had a daughter and they had moved out years ago to find a more suitable place
TMNT-Sakura TreeThe floor boards creaked underneath Raphael's feet as he ascended the stairs to the second floor. He sighed, feeling soreness in his muscles and exhaustion in his bones. It had been a long day and he just wanted to pass out in his bed and sleep for a couple of years. That'd be great. Instead, he made his way up wooden, creaky stairs to the second floor of Donatello and April's house to where a small voice was urgently calling his name.Raphael walked down the hall and entered a room with a white door. He was met with a room created by pastel yellow walls and a large circular carpet on the floor. His eyes naturally went to the small bed in the farthest corner of the room where a petite figure was sitting up."What's up, Maggie? Everything okay?"Raphael's niece looked at him with wide, deer in the headlights eyes. He could see the terror behind her expression and didn't have to ask to know that she had had another nightmare. The mutant sighed and walked over to the little girl. His niec
TMNT-The PromiseThe balding man ran towards her, arms outstretched. April could feel her heart skip a beat, her lips quivering."Dad."She had reached the edge of the building, a small gap between her ledge and the ledge her father was running to."Come on, dad. You can do it! Jump! Just a little closer now..."Her father's blue eyes shimmered in the light from the streets below. So close...so close...April reached out her arm. Leo and the others were holding the Kraang off. It was the perfect plan. Her father was seconds away from finally being free. Finally being able to go home with her...April felt herself smile, tears streaming down her face.Kirby grinned and leaped. He stretched out his hand towards his daughter. How long had it been since they had last seen each other? Weeks? Months? A year? April's hair was longer. Darker. Her muscles were more defined and she seemed more confident in the way she held herself.Their fingers brushed and eyes connected. That was it. It was over. Their suffering
TMNT-AstronomerSometimes April O'Neil would find Donatello on a hill outside of New York City. She'd catch him staring at the sky in wonder, searching for something that was hidden behind the years of pollution. She'd glance up to see what he saw but could only see a dark sky with a few stars here and there. Sometimes he'd just lie there staring at God knows what and the red head would leave him to his thoughts.Sometimes April would find him on the hill, but with papers scattered everywhere of maps of the starry sky. He'd chart spots and look up at the darkness with a sparkle in his eye, the glint he got when he had a magnificent idea. She never bothered to ask what he was planning. She figured she'd find out in time. And with time, she did. One night in the autumn, April had climbed the hill and found the papers replaced with a telescope Donatello had probably scrapped together himself. He was looking proudly at the city, a smirk on his face. When he heard April approach him, he turned and grinned.
TMNT-Changing Tides"Babe?"April blinked, lost in thought. Something had been troubling her for the longest time, now. It was a poke in her side, ache in her head and a pain in her heart. Something was off. But as she looked at the beautiful blue, cloudless sky and how gorgeous everything looked around her, she couldn't figure out what was wrong."Babe..."April scrunched up her nose with annoyance. A headache was already forming and she wanted to go home and ignore the world. What was causing this awful mood? She hadn't been like this since..."Babe!"The red head felt like she had been slapped awake and turned to the person who had been talking to her. The older boy she sat next to frowned, his dark brown eyes glinting with disapproval."Sorry, I was thinking.""You do too much of that."April frowned. "Is that a problem, Casey?" She crossed her arms and deepened her frown at the kid who's supposed to be her loving boyfriend. He slung his arm around around her shoulders. She could smell the overdose of
